What We've Done: An American family discovers their Italian heritage
The De
Simone family wanted to explore their Italian heritage, so they traveled all the
way from Orange County, California and set off on a 10 day trip to Rome,
Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. As it was there first time in Italy, they packed
their itinerary with as much as they could see and eat! They even took a special
trip to the small town of Meta (near Sorrento) where the De Simones originated.

Why: David Desimone wanted to take his family to the magical
country where his ancestors originated from.
How: EIS organized all
of the Desimone's details around their week in Italy: hotels, transportation,
meals, rental cars and tours. In Rome, the family visited monuments like St.
Peters, the Coliseum, the Catacombs and much more. They then headed south for
the weekend where they toured the impressive ruins of Pompei, stopped in the
charming town of Sorrento and drove along the famous Amalfi Coast. On their way,
the made a special trip to the town of Meta, near Sorrento. Here they visited
the house where David's great grandparents once lived. It was an emotional week
that the De Simones will remember and cherish forever.
